Everlast “Love, War and the Ghost of Whitey Ford” CD Review

Former House of Pain lead singer Everlast has released his latest solo CD. “Love, War, and the Ghost of Whitey Ford,” is a disc of brand new music from the critically acclaimed singer. The CD is very musical and storytelling in nature. Everlast’s voice sounds a little different than some of his fans may remember. He still sounds good though. I wouldn’t exactly call “Love, War, and the Ghost of Whitey Ford,” a rap CD. It’s a journey into music and a mix of hip-hop and rock. It’s very reminiscent of some of the music that Kid Rock and Unkle Cracker have released in the past. The music on the album would make for a great film soundtrack. “Die In Yer Arms” is a really sexy song. It would make for a good single. “Letters From The Home Garden” is another really good song. “Dirty” is a really melodic mid-tempo song. The album is classically really good music in the sense that you can tell it may be overlooked greatness. There is not really anything out there on the market like it at the moment.
