Fans of the historical rock group Kiss will be pleased with Kissology The Ultimate Kiss Collection Vol. 3 1992-2000. Kiss grew to fame in the 1970’s. With their eye catching make-up and elaborate stage shows complete with pyrotechnics, the group Kiss became household names during the 70’s. In the 80’s, Kiss mania died down a bit and the group shocked fans when they started performing sans their make-up. The hits didn’t stop coming and the group continued to tour and their merchandise sales were phenomenal.

Kissology Vol 3. follows up earlier Kissology releases. Kissology 1 & 2 documented the groups early years during the 70’s and the 80’s. Kissology Vol 3. covers the years 1992 up until the year 2000 with the exception of disc four which features and early performance.

Disc One features a Kiss performance from The Palace of Auburn Hills recorded in Detroit, Michigan in November of 1992. Also on disc one is the groups MTV Unplugged performance from 1995 and the behind the scenes footage from the MTV Unplugged performance.

Disc two features the groups performance at Tiger Stadium in Detroit, Michigan which was recorded in 1996. Also featured on disc two is the memorable Kiss performance from the VMA’s which was recorded on the Brooklyn Bridge in September of 1996. Part one of the groups Dodger Stadium performance from 1998 is also featured on disc two.

Disc three features the second half of the groups 1998 Dodger Stadium performance. Also featured on disc two is the groups Detroit Rock City performance. The Detroit Rock City Premiere Party is featured on disc three as well. The Kiss performance The Last Kiss Continental from the Airlines Arena is featured on the third disc.

The fourth disc features classic Kiss material. The fourth disc features the Kiss performance Coventry which was recorded in December of 1973.

The Kissology 3 box set which I reviewed featured a bonus fifth disc which featured a 1996 Kiss performance which was recorded in Irvine, California.

Kissology Vol. 3 is a wonderful treat for the Kiss fan who wishes to watch their favorite group on DVD. The performances are re-mastered and presented in 5.1 audio.
