Eazy E was a rap music pioneer. In addition to being a member of the groundbreaking rap group N.W.A., Eazy had a successful solo career of his own. Capital and Priority Records have released an Eazy-E greatest hits CD titled “Featuring Eazy-E.” Featuring Eazy-E includes 16 Eazy E tracks. What makes this album different than previous Eazy E greatest hits CD’s is that this one focuses on Eazy E collaborations. The disc features three Eazy-E hits from N.W.A.’s Efil4zaggin album. Those songs are “Findum, F**kum & Flee,” “Automobile,” and “I’d Rather F&ck You.” The Bone Thugs N Harmony hit “For Tha Love of Money,” is featured on the disc as are two Eazy-E and MC Ren collaborations Two of the most sought after songs on the CD are the Penthouse Player’s Clique songs “P.S. Phuk U 2,” and “Trust No Bitch.” These hard to find songs were featured on the Penthouse Player’s Clique album in the early 90s. The Penthouse Player’s Clique was a supergroup that consisted of Playa Hamm and Tweed Cadillac. Eazy-E, and DJ Quik were featured on their biggest hits. Their album “Paid The Cost,” has been out of print for some time. “Featuring Eazy-E” also includes two other out of print Eazy-E songs.
“Featuring Eazy-E” is a great CD for the Eazy-E fan who wants to own some of this songs that weren’t featured on previous greatest hits releases. This is also a chance to own some of Eazy’s greatest collaborations.
