Rick Springfield fans will enjoy “Rick Springfield The Early Sound Sessions.” If you like classic rock from the late 70’s and the early 80’s you will really dig this CD. Rick’s voice is in great condition as he belts out these early tunes. These songs may have appeared on later releases in various incarnations, but these songs on this compilation gel well together. The CD opens with the song “Bruce,” which is a up-tempo song in which sings about a young woman calling him the wrong name. “The Solitary Look,” has a Bee Jee’s kind of sound to it. “Spanish Eyes,” is a really good song that will remind Springfield fans of some of his early 80’s hits. The harmonies are really awesome. “Cold Feet” is a memorable bluesy-rock song. “Brand New Feeling,” is a song driven by melody and a driving piano riff. The album closes with the hip sounding song “You Still Got The Magic.” If you loved the classic rock of the 70’s and 80’s you will enjoy “Rick Springfield The Early Sound Sessions.”
