Animated rude and crude teenagers Beavis and Butt-head are making their third appearance in a DVD box set in Beavis and Butt-Head The Mike Judge Collection Volume 3. If you need a refresher course on just who Beavis and Butthead are here’s a quick refresher. They were two lazy shiftless animated teenagers who ruled MTV during the early to mid 90’s. They even starred in a feature length film titled Beavis and Butt-head Do America. In their half hour show they would participate in adventures around their town and they spent much of their time sitting on their couch watching music videos in which they provided commentary. Beavis and Butt-Head really pushed the animated cable television envelope between the curse words used in the show and the sometime’s controversial skits. It’s rumored that some skits such as “Fire Fire” are even edited in their DVD form.

Beavis and Butt-Head The Mike Judge Collection Volume 3 includes 20 shorts starting with the clip “No Service” and ending with “It’s a Miserable Life.” The clip “No Service” is about a crazy day at the Burger Shack in which Butt-Head sends Beavis to work when the manager asks for both of them to work. Butt-Head amuses himself by harassing Beavis via the drive-thru speaker.

Disc 1 features no music videos, just the cartoon episode clips. Disc 2 features 21 clips beginning with “Citizens Arrest” and ending with “Beavis and butthead are Dead.” Disc 3 includes all of the bonus material and music videos. Music videos included are Salt N’ Pepa (featuring En Vogue) “Whatta Man,” and Alice Cooper “Teenage Frankenstein” among others. Other bonus material featured on disc 3 are Beavis and Butt-Head promo’s, the original uncut version of Frog Baseball, their 2005 VMA appearance and more.

It’s kind of strange watching the clips without the music video clips integrated if you are used to watching the show in it’s natural form. The Mike Judge Collection Volume 3 should be a satisfying purchase for fans of the show or someone just wanting a little taste of Beavis and Butt-Head on DVD.
